Hazel Technologies, Inc. has the most innovative and cost-effective solution in food waste but was being heavily outspent by clunkier competitors. They needed to make the case to customers that their solution was better and more affordable. Securing coverage that secured Hazel as the most innovative solution to a world-pressing problem, we guided Hazel through their Series B ($13 million) and Series C ($70 million) funding rounds, creating media moments that earned front page features in the Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times, plus coverage in NPR, Good Morning America, Bloomberg, Fast Company, Inc. and Forbes. Today, Hazel is out-performing its competition with faster customer growth, continued innovation and investor support.

A $2 billion operation owned by cable giants Comcast, Charter, and Cox, NCC’s brand profile and credibility was virtually unknown, referred to by their CEO as “the biggest TV company you’ve never heard of.” Tasked with the mission of taking NCC into the addressable age, Harmonica implemented a multi-faceted strategy for awareness and thought leadership, generating news, interviews, speaking opportunities and profiles in leading industry trades and successfully taking the company through a rebrand from NCC Media to Ampersand. With a huge splash at Cannes and feature articles in Ad Age, Adweek, B&C, The Drum, Multichannel News, WSJ, AdExchanger, Ad Age, and others, Ampersand is now leading the category for television & cable.

Harmonica was tasked with birthing Xaxis in 2011 in the highly competitive yet early programmatic audience buying space. We integrated more than five struggling Group M companies into one of the fastest growing rocket ships in programmatic for five straight years, scaling Xaxis over $1B in revenue in markets including North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America. Xaxis became known as the most capable and advanced player in the programmatic space with regular features in WSJ, Financial Times, Adweek, Ad Age, Digiday, Campaign, Business Insider and eMarketer. We successfully launched Xaxis in new markets including China, Latin America, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong, among others, and secured measurable thought leadership and speaking engagement opportunities and activations in Cannes Lion, DMEXCO and Spikes Asia.
