Reflection

$8,000

A candid portrait taken during a precious moment while H.H. the Dalai Lama gathered his thoughts just before taking the stage to one of the largest audiences of this lifetime at the Honda Center in 2015 for his 80th Birthday celebration.

Edition Size

Number one of each image were the images we donated during our trip to Dharamshala. Editions 2-12 are available to our group and 13 and 14 will be reserved for potential future donations to museums and libraries worldwide.

Canvas Size

As these are custom prints, buyers will be allowed to choose their own print size up to 72 inches in length (on the long side).

Materials

These photographs are printed, in the same way that they were printed for the H.H. Library, on Archival Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta paper and are hand numbered and signed by the photographer, Peter Ruprecht.

Your print will come with the same certificate of authenticity as the H.H. Library received.

Proceeds

Proceeds benefit our continued work together to support the compassionate missions of His Holiness, the advanced archive of Tibetan scripts, and support the works of Dr. Thupten Jinpa, Compassion Institute. Our first project impacts the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA), completing post production on the album recording, as well as developing water infrastructure. It will also create a 501c3 committed to Tibetan causes such as the archival and translation of Tibetan materials, the support of arts and culture, academic study and the resources related to those pursuits.

About the Artist

Peter Ruprecht is an award-winning photographer and is a recipient of the prestigious Angkor photography award. He aims to capture the natural spirit of people and places all across the world. Like many of his subjects, Ruprecht himself is nomadic, wandering amidst the greatness of the world.

Through his distinctly honest and deliberate approach, Peter intensifies the relationships between the viewer and subject, achieving immediate emotional and spiritual presence, while inviting the viewer to consider the ideas and feelings of the subject, and the eternal soul within all people. His work has been shown and sold at Sotheby’s New York, Art Basel, and in contemporary galleries from Los Angeles to Oslo to Buenos Aires.
